Who we are and what we do

The FGB is the oversight authority for casinos. It monitors compliance with the legal provisions relating to casinos and casino licensing and ensures that casino games are transparent and operated safely. It also ensures that casinos comply with the provisions relating to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.

In addition, the FGB monitors the implementation of player protection measures to ensure that players are adequately protected against the dangers of gambling. It also assesses and collects casino tax.

Finally, the FGB is responsible for preventing illegal gambling by blocking access to unauthorised online gambling platforms and prosecuting illegal gambling.

The FGB is an independent authority. It is administratively attached to the FDJP.
