Casino games must be transparent and safe to play.

Casinos require a licence from the FGB for every game they offer. This includes table games, automated games and jackpot games. The Gambling Ordinance specifies which table games are permitted.

Certification procedure

Before an automated game may be operated in a casino, it must be tested by an accredited institute to verify compliance with the technical requirements under Swiss law. The FGB recognises certificates issued by accreditation bodies, provided these bodies are accredited by an organisation that has signed a multilateral recognition agreement (MRA) with an international gambling certification organisation, such as the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
